Cocos2d-x expands support to Windows 8 Metro

Yesterday cocos2d-x announced they’re supporting Windows 8 Metro.

Don’t you know cocos2d-x? It’s a framework based on cocos2d that allows you to develop in C++ instead of objective-c.

The main advantage of cocos2d-x over cocos2d is that it allows you to generate binaries for many platforms:

  • Android
  • iOS (iPhone / iPad)
  • BlackBerry Playbook
  • Bada
  • Marmalade
  • Windows
  • Linux Unfortunately Linux port was removed from version 2.x.
  • Mac
  • Windows 8 Metro

MoSync started a port of cocos2d-x too.

What are you waiting for? Download cocos2d-x and start developing your games. It’s a free and open source project.
